The Dead Sea (or Tommy CAN Float)

The Dead Sea is a cure for many ailments, such as arthritis, psoriasis, and eczema, as well as a complete inability of a certain someone to float in water.

Tommy floating - he's so happy!

Floating in the Dead Sea brings out the child in you, discovering what your body can do in the water. Only this time, it’s really easy, and no matter what you do, you are buoyant.

Unfortunately, it also deposits a gross residue of salt all over your body, prompting the desperate urge to shower it all off as soon as you get out. And the worst “salt in my eye” burn ever.

And did I mention the amazing views in this odd tropical paradise?

As the sun sets, the mountains in Jordan across the see reflect the light first with striking vivid color, and then they fade into velvet pastels slowly before falling slowly into the darkness of night.

  1. What a cute photo Tommy! And like you need anything else to bring out the inner child in you!

  2. Sounds like fun…except for the stinging eyes! I tried to post a cmment on the “Worshipping in the Holy Land”, but it would not go through… said I didn’t have a valid e-mail. Hope u get this. My note on that blog was how moving; seems to me that you were filled the grace the Holy Spirit. xoxox, Kita
